John Griebsch is a photographer who creates fine art aerial images, drawing from his extensive experience piloting a vintage Cessna. He masterfully balances abstraction and realism, using painterly compositions and graphic qualities to reimagine landscapes from above, with careful attention to scale and detail. His technique explores the interplay between natural forms and the imprint of humanity, invoking both the vastness and intimacy of the earth’s surface. His artworks evoke awe, curiosity, and a deep yearning to rediscover our world from new, elevated perspectives.
