« When I'm working, I spend a lot of time contemplating the artwork, work quickly, and take a step back to reflect on the changes I've made. »
Jon Sola is a Spanish artist whose paintings have been exhibited internationally including galleries in Spain, Greece, United Kingdom, and Thailand. What he finds fascinating about painting are the different interpretations that a work can have depending on the viewer, even though the subject matter remains the same. Consequently, Sola often produces several alternate paintings of the same subject testing and focusing on the use of colour and composition.
His expressive paintings comment on climate change, history, and mythology.
