JONATHAN SUMMIT

Jonathan Summit is a painter who moved from watercolors to acrylics on canvas, shaped by years in Provincetown and Wilmington and extensive gallery experience. He employs dynamic, abstract techniques, layering color, turning canvases, and using pentimento to invite discovery of urban-inspired, kinetic spaces; sometimes, he presses wet canvases together and paints each uniquely. His paintings evoke a sense of ongoing movement and optimism, aiming to capture the viewer’s imagination and sustain their engagement through mystery and vibrant energy.
