Jorge Leyva is a Peruvian-born painter and sculptor who has been based in the US since the 1980s and widely exhibited his work throughout the country. Merging the classical influences of his Spanish heritage, the intellect of contemporary thinking and the expressive surfaces of his art, he unites creativity and integrity in a search for his own work’s philosophy. Thematically, Leyva focuses on nature, social conditioning, and the strength of community identities.
