Joshua Hogan is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally. His earlier works featured shapes which he refers to as “wayfarers”, which resembled helicopters suspended by delicate blades. However, as his artistic expression evolved, these forms became increasingly abstracted. Hogan begins each piece with color washes, a process likened to action painting, through which the origins of shapes emerge.
