« It is always the love for life and an immense curiosity that pushes me to paint and give shape to my emotions. Presence to oneself and to the work is not related to age and I do not lack inspiration. »
Juliane Schack is an experienced German painter based in France whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. Growing up in Nazi Germany, Schack did not have access to modern art until later in life, and eventually moved to Paris to study at the Beaux Arts in 1948. From figurative painting to geometric abstraction, Schack's style has evolved over the years, and her current abstract work is characterized by a sense of rhythm and the spontaneity of gesture.
