Julien de Casabianca, 51, French and Corsican, is both a visual artist and a filmmaker.
No Photoshop : it’s only reals pastings. He brings paintings from museum walls into the streets or objects. He has been invited by many museums to play with their collection, all around the world, like the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art (USA), the Geneva Museum of Art (Switzerland), the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville (USA), The Ixelles-Brussels museum, and reference festivals as Nuart.
His work is always related to the street. Literature Nobel Prize Gao Xingjian wrote the script of his first movie, entierly shot in imaginary city streets. His first feature-lenght, Passing by, entierly shot in Eurpoean streets, was praised by famous director Costa-Gavras, who wrote he was “deeply moved and touched in the bottom of his heart”.
He give lectures to University of Arts (Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Aberdeen, Katmandu…)
