Katarzyna Waluch

Born in 1973, Katarzyna Waluch expresses a powerful Fiber Art that fuses her Polish and Lucanian roots. Her creative journey stems from a profound inner need for rebirth and stability: through freeform and high-density tapestry crochet, the artist liberates the thread, creating monumental textile sculptures and three-dimensional bas-reliefs where fiber replaces brushstrokes. Each work is unique, hand-lined and comes with a handcrafted display pouch. To ensure the highest quality, she uses only fine Italian yarns personally selected in Prato. The subject of a prestigious solo exhibition at the Artinvalle Gallery in Montevarchi in 2026, curated by Rossano Renzi, her sacred and cubist works combine Byzantine solemnity with the modernity of fine craftsmanship, bringing the poetry of true Made in Italy to international collections.
