Kiki Spring

Hi, my name is Kristina "Kiki" Spring (née Kucerova). Born in former Czechoslovakia, I studied literature and fine arts at Comenius University in Bratislava before moving to the United States and eventually settling in Switzerland. Living between cultures has profoundly shaped my perspective, inspiring an ongoing exploration of identity, memory, and emotional landscapes.

Today, my studio practice is dedicated to expressive abstract landscapes and intuitive compositions. My work reads as a series of playful cartographies, unfolding like aerial maps to hidden treasures. Grounded in a signature warm golden palette inspired by autumnal light, each piece invites the viewer on an imaginary journey across abstract topographies.

Working from my studio in Zug, Switzerland, I build each canvas through up to 20 translucent glazes, tactile impasto textures, and floating geometric symbols. My paintings offer a sanctuary for curiosity, inviting viewers to trace their own paths through the layers.
