Kostakis Manelis is a contemporary figurative painter whose work combines classical painting tradition with a precisely developed, expressively realistic visual language. His figures are anatomically precise and simultaneously atmospherically rich. Light, color, and brushstrokes not only model the visible form but also make psychological tension and emotional depth immediately palpable.
At the heart of his work is the human being as the bearer of memory, dignity, longing, and inner experience. Manelis does not reduce reality to its outward appearance, but transforms it into a poetically condensed visual world situated between objectivity and inner perception. His painting seeks a timeless presence in which stillness, intensity, and human intimacy merge into a distinctive visual language.
Manelis has been a member of the “Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece” (EETE) since 2005.
