Laima Studio

Laima Studio is the artistic practice of a self-taught Portuguese painter whose path to art emerged from a gradual transition away from a corporate career. Working primarily with mixed media, she creates abstract, tactile pieces shaped by texture, layering and material exploration, with a current focus on the unique qualities of cork.

Her practice moves between structure and intuition, developing processes that provide a framework while leaving room for variation, experimentation and the unexpected. Rather than conveying a fixed narrative, her work seeks to spark curiosity and reward closer observation, inviting each viewer to discover its details and form a personal connection with the piece.
