« I explore intimacy in its incessant and unspeakable flow, in its quest, and in its silence. »
Laurence Buaillon is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by literature in general, she is fascinated by the concept of prolonging the atmosphere of reading by giving faces to fictional characters. Especially marked by the works of celebrated author Virginia Woolf, Buaillon's figurative compositions endeavor to express a form of porosity, as well as "disturbing feminine strangeness".
