Laurence Garlan

Laurence Garlan, also known as Skylart, is a painter and sculptor, trained at the École Supérieure d'Art de Perpignan and holding a degree in computer graphics. She uses a variety of media and materials—welded iron, wood, clay, acrylic, ink, watercolor, pastel—to explore figurative landscapes, abstraction, and scenes of everyday life. Her style oscillates between neo-impressionism, figuration/abstraction, and lyrical abstraction in her paintings and drawings, and outsider art in her sculptures.
Her work explores atmospheres and light. Her works invite us to feel the fragility of passing time and the ephemeral beauty of nature, conveying a sincere and vibrant emotion towards the world.
