« ''Discovering the Artist Within", a fascinating process of reinvention and self discovery, evolving as an artist, enhancing and expressively conveying what my mind "sees" rather than my eyes. »
Prize winning American artist Lee James's emotive and textured paintings vividly capture their subjects. Inspired by early morning, dusk and nocturnal settings where light and color are at their most dramatic Lee's artworks expertly capture the atmosphere and beauty of the scene. Working in the impressionist style, Lee has developed a unique technique where colors are applied to the canvas unmixed, this allows the viewer to subconsciously mix the colors and enjoy the natural vibrancy and texture of each hue.
Lee's artworks have been exhibited extensively throughout the USA, and are held in numerous public and private collections.
