Libuse Babakova

Libuse Babakova, of Czechoslovakian origin, graduated in musicology from the University of Brno. Over the years, her focus has shifted to the visual arts, encompassing contemporary expressiveness, informal art, and action painting. Her works (on canvas, glass, and plexiglass) have also been exhibited in the Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands, England, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, and Dubai. In 2014, she joined the Antica Compagnia del Paiolo. In 2014, she was awarded the Fiorino d'Argento (XXXII Florence Prize), in 2016 the Collare Laurenziano of the Accademia Medicea, and in 2018 the Ponte Vecchio Prize.
