« Gundam models symbolize mass production and replication, but they also represent a ‘new icon’ of joyful, mysterious and magical powers. »
Lin Chun Pin is a young Taiwanese artist whose work has been exhibited in China, Taiwan and Japan. He primarily employs Gundam model parts (figurines from a popular Japanese science fiction franchise) as his base material, transforming them into cultural symbols such as classic paintings, pop culture references and famous faces. His configurations are carefully choreographed and carry a Warhol-esque Pop Art spirit, achieving an overall artistic aesthetic marked by a unique approach and a strong thematic focus.
