Lino Spada is a self-taught artist who expresses his passion for art through painting, drawing, and sculpture. He uses innovative techniques such as wood collage to create sculptural paintings where shapes and colors highlight the lines. He has a unique way of combining painting, collage, and sculpture to create dynamic and expressive pieces! The works in the RITMI series are a prime example: a translation of sound into shapes and colors!
His sculptures, on the other hand, are inspired by late-19th-century Italian peasant culture and the ancient symbols of the Samnites. These essential works evoke a delicate relationship between man and nature, awakening a subtle emotionality and an intimate, dreamlike dimension. He uses traditional materials such as wood, iron, and stone, often recycled and treated to restore their original value. His works are the result of constant evolution, a dialogue between self-taught training and an ongoing expressive exploration.
