In her art, Lisa House blends instinct, emotion, and skill. The U.K. based artist's vibrant compositions also combine hue, texture, and form, impacting the conscious and subconscious. Employing natural found materials from the landscape, as well as fabrics, House encases them on the painting surface, creating heavily textured pieces. Often working on up to thirty paintings at once, she layers them with washes, wax, fabrics, and organic materials, allowing the pieces to slowly evolve.
