Lloyd Smith is a self-taught painter who began with photography before embracing painting for its limitless creative possibilities. He employs techniques of abstract expressionism and conceptual minimalism, often using acrylics on stretched canvas to create layered abstractions through bold color fields, fragmented geometry, and subtle textures. His work conveys a profound tension between chaos and clarity, inviting viewers to reflect deeply, think critically, and experience a sense of freedom and the pursuit of truth.
