« I became a mother at the age of thirty. Three months after my child was born, my great love unexpectedly passed away. Creating art helped me find strength, and through my work, I’m able to share that strength with those who experience it. Being an artist is my true calling. »
Lovis Moos was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1983 and is a contemporary painter. She lives and works in Bern, Switzerland, creating oil paintings on scrap wood to promote recycling. Moos is mindful of avoiding microplastics in her studio and life. Her works are often characterized by vibrant colors and simple forms.
Moos's work is characterized by its exploration of themes such as hope, inner peace, and the communication of positive energy. Through her art, she aims to convey a sense of tranquility, inspired by everyday life and nature. Her works resonate with viewers who, amidst the complexities of the modern world, seek moments of contemplation and self-reflection.
