Luca Lazar (Luka Lasareishvili) was born 1957 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He graduated with a Masters of Arts from the Georgian State Art Academy in Tibilisi (1976-1982). He lived in Moscow, Paris and Cologne for several years before moving to New York where he lives and works since 2003. During his career, Lazar has worked in several media, including painting, video, installations and objects.
