Luca Polvari
Italy
Born in Trieste in 1988, Luca Polvari combines a solid education at the Nordio State Art Institute—specializing in pictorial decoration and photography—with constant expressive research.
At the heart of his poetics is the portrait: friends and family become the subjects of a profound investigation into human bonds and memory, in which color becomes an emotional vehicle and the size of the work reflects the emotional importance of the subject.
Technically, Polvari favors acrylics applied wet-on-wet, adopting a fluid gesture typical of oil painting, alongside pastels and markers for a vibrant and dynamic language. His art translates inner experience into images charged with energy and visual tension.
