Muberra Karamanoglu aka M. KARA is a contemporary visual artist based in New York and Ankara. Her layered mixed-media works explore themes of female identity, memory, and silence. Using everyday materials such as bedsheets, tulle, thread, and sand, she creates portraits and installations that hover between fragility and resilience.

Combining painting with textile-based practices, M. KARA crafts each work as a sewn narrative—a “stitched voice.” Her art investigates the fragmented and multi-layered nature of identity, highlighting the power of the unseen and the unspoken.

Her work has been exhibited in international art fairs and exhibitions in Paris, Istanbul, Ankara, and New York, and has been featured in Art Market Magazine.
