Magret Thimm

Magret Thimm primarily uses mixed media and experimental painting techniques; as a painter trained in art education, she has dedicated herself intensively to free watercolor painting and mixed-media work since 1998. Her abstract works are created in layers of acrylic, sand, paper, fabrics, and bitumen, and are characterized by a dynamic interplay of construction and destruction. She works on a large scale, loves collage, and consciously integrates chance as a creative process. Her art conveys a deep emotional tension between concealment and revealing, inviting viewers to sense the magic within the material.
