Maike Kurre

Maike Kurre is a self-taught painter who works with acrylics, collage, and mixed media. She uses a limited color palette and moves between abstraction and figuration, revealing layers of paint and creating weathered, translucent surfaces. Her works radiate a lasting emotionality and invite the viewer to engage intensely with the moment.

"Every single process – be it experimenting with colors, shapes, or assembling materials – is for me a moment of connection with the here and now. It is a form of reflection that I bring to life visually. I discover inspiration everywhere: in the beauty of nature and in the small moments of everyday life."
