« I seek to find beauty in decay and to enjoy the play between light and shade in the beautiful architecture that surrounds me. »
Malcolm Macdonald is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in England. Having lived in France since 2004, he is fascinated by French architecture with its ornate facades, as well as the faded beauty of old restaurants, reflections in shop windows, old streets, and the forms created by the night lights of cities. Macdonald's distinctive cityscapes and scenes are created with oils on canvas.
