« The hidden side of people and the soul-fullness of objects intrigue me. »
Marian Williams is a painter and draftsman based in the Netherlands whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Albania, and Italy. Women's emancipation is a major theme in her diverse and multi-layered compositions. Williams describes the vintage images she works with as clearly showing "the evident and comical inequality of genders", and finds it striking to see that such basic thinking has not changed very much.
