Marie Eve Melnyk

Marie Melnyk completed a Fine Arts diploma in Ukraine, followed by studies in artist anatomy and environment design. Her most formative training was three years of private atelier study focused on Old Masters painting techniques and classical life drawing.
Between 2016 and 2019, Melnyk worked independently in Japan, developing her visual language and building private collections. She later lived and worked in Düsseldorf, Germany before relocating to Georgia, where she maintains her studio practice.

Her work explores surrealism and mysticism through large-scale layered oil paintings. Melnyk investigates the paradox of witnessing immense transformation from a place of safety—exploring what it means to remain open and loving in a world that demands hardness. Her Peace series examines this tension through ethereal, luminous forms suspended dream and catastrophe.
