« My greatest aspiration is to be able to paint the soul of things, to create vibrant landscapes, filled with life, magic, and a deep mystery. »
For Mario Fegan, creating art is a projection exercise in which the landscape acts as a mirror that reflects the ‘unfathomable depths of the human soul’. The artist, who resides in Ecuador, wishes to portray the magic and mystery in his pieces which blend realism and naturalism. Fegan also draws inspiration from romanticism and tonalism. He creates in a classic style using oils on canvas.
