Mario Ferrari

I've been painting for over forty years, and my artistic journey is deeply rooted in history and its visual representation. Born in 1962, I've been actively involved in the world of Napoleonic and Risorgimento historical reenactments for about thirty years, an experience that has significantly influenced my pictorial research.
My works are dedicated to Napoleonic and Risorgimento battles and scenes of military life from the era. Each painting is the result of rigorous historical documentation, including study of locations, uniforms, weapons, and flags, to adhere as faithfully as possible to the period depicted.
To support this research, I own a small private museum of Napoleonic and Risorgimento memorabilia. I paint in oil on wood, combining historical accuracy with pictorial expressiveness. I have exhibited my works during historical reenactments, on the bicentenary of Austerlitz, and in 2021 in Alsace to commemorate Napoleon's death.
