Mark Beattie is a prize-winning sculptor from the United Kingdom who has exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. He explores the properties of metals by manipulating the material, creating a sense of movement. In his larger sculptures, Beattie prefers steel or aluminium, welding and power coating each composition with industrial paints. Favoring copper in his smaller works, he solders and brazes until the desired form is found.
