Artist Markus Magenheim: Art for sale at the best price

« I want to keep the painting or the drawing simple, so as not to kill the inner complexity of the motif with too many artistic frills. »

Markus Magenheim is an established painter and draftsman from Germany. Working mainly with monochrome watercolors, Magenheim paints in a layering technique often reserved for oil painting. His work has always been focused on representing people, focusing on capturing the part of their face that expresses or reveals their inner universe. His subjects are often shown in relief before background of complete negative space, bringing full attention on their unique faces.
