Melanie Stein

Melanie Stein studied art and architecture at the renowned Bauhaus University in Weimar and now lives as a freelance artist in Istria. Her works are a blend of abstract and representational painting with surrealist elements, employing mixed techniques. Her art emerges from a deeply physical process, with music playing a crucial role. Through her painting, she opens up sensual and philosophical worlds that resonate profoundly and demand an intense engagement with humanity in all its facets, nature, and their interrelationships. Her paintings are imbued with hope, longing, harmony, and love. She also repeatedly explores themes of infinity, the control of chance, harmony, proportion, symmetry, balance, and order—ultimately, inner beauty.
