Credentials
- Works on commission
Melissa Dowden, a painter and illustrator, began her artistic career in a children's studio. She uses a unified technique of sketching and painting, integrating depth and symbolism to depict abstract concepts such as emotional worlds and social constructs. Her works serve to intensify the dialogue about mental health and society, to give courage to those affected and to question constructs.
