« The skull is part of the animal's remains, the sculpture is the embodiment of its spirit for all to admire. »
Michael Gultz is an American sculptor who honors the journey of the animal through his works. Using Texas Longhorn skulls, he enhances the beauty of the animal while celebrating the natural imperfections that were created during the experiences of its physical being. Gultz applies metallic epoxies and precious metals to the skulls, which he believes is a commemoration of the creature's spirit that will 'continue to live on'.
