« The image refuses to complete itself, figures crawl outside the frame, landscapes smear and turn to blots, an ancient sculpture breaks into pieces. »
Michael Rapoport is an experienced artist based in Israel whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Kazakhstan, Russia, Poland, Azerbaijan, Germany, and Italy. He describes his artistic process as the construction of images garnered from random impressions of daily life. In his figurative-based compositions, Rapoport often removes his subjects from their normal surroundings, creating contrasting and engaging environments.
