Michael Rich is an established artist from the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows internationally. As a kid, Rich would sit on the docks in Nantucket Island and sketch boats out in the harbor with colored pencils. Today, the ocean and landscape of New England still factor greatly into his abstract works, through the use of vibrant layers of color and an attention to light and space in oil on canvas.
