« I am interested in the no-man's-land of unspent, insatiable pictures. My ancestors were Cossacks. I sell energy, no decoration! Art has to be serious. »
The German artist with Russian roots Michael Sazarin was born in 1943 in Gdansk. In 1945 the move to Hamburg takes place. He is one of the founding members of the non-profit association Koppel 66 in Hamburg, in whose studio he lives and works today.
