« What inspires me to be an artist is the sheer possibility of it all. »
Michael Velliquette is an American draftsman and sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Norway, Japan, and South Korea. His intricately constructed paper sculptures "open a view into imagined worlds". Velliquette describes his art as redifining the nature of paper by creating objects that convey "strength, intent, and durability". His structural abstractions are cut and assembled by hand, with each piece taking up to five hundred hours to complete.
