Michael Williams is a British painter, born in Patna, India, and is now living in Stroud, Gloucestershire. He read History at Oxford University and then went to Paris briefly, attending the art school of La Grande Chaumière. Back in London, he taught Art History at Central Saint Martins and then Painting at Goldsmiths and other institutions. His figurative styled paintings are related to his past experiences.
