« I am a reserved painter, who loves the "poetry of error" that I feed on. »
Michela Gioachin is an award-winning Italian artist whose paintings have been extensively exhibited on a national level, as well as in Slovenia, the United Kingdom, and Austria. She characterizes one of the unusual features in her work as a "glitch", where the image is electrically divided or doubled, "to tell of itself the constant becoming". Gioachin's portraits focus on the figure of women, her subjects are strangers, whose images are extrapolated from magazines, online, or photographed directly in her studio.
