« The book sculptor. I write sculptural books with clay. The content of the books is expressed with images in relief and written on clay. »

Michele Imperiale is an award-winning Italian sculptor whose works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group events nationally. In the digital age, he seeks, through his terracotta sculptural books, an unusual "return to matter". In addition to imagery, Imperiale also adds symbols and historical figures, some of the inscriptions are engraved. He describes his art as being a "denunciation of the frivolity with which one builds and defines oneself in our culture today, where digital has supplanted paper".
