MIES is a South African artist whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions both nationally and in Germany. She describes almost all her work as being driven by the need to "inspire hope or captivate beauty". MIES began her career with the idea that if what she does could give another person the courage to pursue a life that they are passionate about, instead of just one that they feel expected to live, then "it would be worth it".
