Milly Martionou is a Greek painter living and working in Athens. She has presented her work in many solo and group exhibitions on the international level. Martionou's work hovers between figurative and realistic in style, flirting with abstract expressionism. Her current work uses freely formed but precisely located brushstrokes to develop her composition. The artist’s ideas, thoughts, and psyche are depicted in cognitive maps and are presented as evolving structures of smaller elements departing in varying trajectories. Martionou's work is vibrant, energetic, playful embodying light, movement and emotion while remaining deeply meditative.
