Biography

Richard Sossler, a French artist born in Normandy in 1950, has been developing a diverse and unique body of work for several decades, presented in numerous exhibitions in France and internationally.

A socially conscious street artist, he champions a deeply human and accessible approach: his paintings must remain affordable so that everyone can engage with art. For him, street art only has meaning if it remains within everyone's reach. His creations, imbued with powerful symbolism, address the major challenges facing our planet with humor, parody, and imagination, provoking genuine collective reflection.

A multidisciplinary artist, Richard Sossler is also a sculptor. He has created numerous works using wood from the wrecks of pinasses, the iconic boats of the Arcachon Basin, to which he is deeply attached. He also creates interpretations in metal, where the strength, memory, and poetry of the materials intertwine.
