Nadine Hardy is a French contemporary artist whose work explores human presence through abstraction, with particular attention to light, color, relief and material.
She creates abstract and semi-abstract compositions where fragmented forms suggest silhouettes, traces, and echoes of presence. Her works play between structure and dissolution, allowing figures to emerge without ever representing them literally.
Color plays a central role in her work. Deep blues, golds, silvers, and iridescent tones interact with matte and reflective surfaces, creating a shifting relationship with light. The painting thus appears both flat and spatial.
Alongside her colorful works, she develops white-on-white relief paintings, where color gives way to texture, depth, shadows, and light.
