« I wanted my images to be moving and poignant. They could not be joyful, hence the use of black and white, but I did not want them to look miserable either. »
Nassim Rouchiche is a French-Algerian photographer, born in 1977 in Algiers, where he lives and works. His important series ça va Waka captures the place given to, or taken away from, immigrants in the Algerian community.
