Norman Gekko is the pseudonym of a sculptor who prefers to remain anonymous. The artist does not reveal his or her nationality or gender, thereby conserving their freedom of speech and creative power. Through anonymity, the artist renounces the spotlight. This allows the work to be viewed without prejudice. Much of Gekko's art is a social commentary, and just like society, aims to show that appearances can be deceiving.
