Credentials
- Works on commission
Olaf Kaulen, a self-taught artist from Hamburg, works primarily with oil paintings and drawings. His technique combines photorealistic studies of the human form with surreal, dreamlike worlds, masterfully shifting between urban settings and graceful figures. His style is distinctive, bold, and driven by profound curiosity, often characterized by a meditative, melancholic humor. With his works, he aims to push boundaries and lead viewers into fascinating, unfamiliar pictorial spaces full of emotion and surprises.
