Olaf Neumann combines hyperrealist painting, comic aesthetics, video, and participatory swarm art. Since the 2000s, he has developed a visual language that encompasses hyperrealism, pop culture, and conceptual art. He rose to prominence early on through portraits of prominent figures such as Kate Moss, Karl Lagerfeld, Andy Warhol, Dietmar Schönherr, and Gottfried Helnwein, whom he met personally.
